Il Gemelli sempre più in alto tra le eccellenze mondiali

Policlinico Gemelli Irccs has been named one of the top ten hospitals in Italy in the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 ranking. According to the report by RomaSette, the international list was compiled by Statista in collaboration with Newsweek and evaluated hospitals across more than 30 countries. Gemelli joins the Bambino Gesù and the Besta Neurological Institute of Milan as the only Italian hospitals to reach the top ten.

The university hospital ranked first in Italy in four medical disciplines: obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and pulmonology. In obstetrics and gynecology, the hospital placed third globally. Its gastroenterology department ranked first in Italy and 11th in the world.

Gemelli also secured second place in Italy for neurology and nephrology. Other notable rankings include third in Italy for cardiology (27th globally), orthopedics (70th globally), and neurosurgery (75th globally). The hospital maintained its presence across all 13 medical disciplines evaluated in this seventh edition of the ranking.
