Il “Transito del Padre”: a Pesaro il racconto delle ultime ore di San Francesco

The Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine delle Grazie in Pesaro will host a prayer and meditation event titled “Transito del Padre San Francesco” on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The evening begins at 21:00 to commemorate the VIII Centenario of the death of San Francesco d’Assisi.

The Fraternità San Francesco and the Ordine Francescano Secolare will lead the event through songs and recited parts to recount the final hours of the saint's life according to the Fonti Francescane. The program aims to help participants reflect on the life of San Francesco and his messages of peace, fraternity, simplicity, and trust in God.

The event takes place at the Santuario della Beata Vergine delle Grazie because the site was once the church of San Francesco. The Diocese of Pesaro noted that the gathering is open to all.
