In Lourdes, where the vulnerable bring light

Pope Leo XIV met with 200,000 pilgrims from France and around the world during his visit to the Sanctuary of Lourdes on September 27. During Mass, the Pope spoke about the universal nature of the Church, noting that pilgrims bring their joys and burdens to the Grotto.

The Pope met with sick people and staff at the Accueil Notre-Dame. He described fragility as a place for sacred encounters rather than something to be hidden. He also listened to a 13-year-old girl sing songs from the musical Bernadette of Lourdes.
