Inauguración del curso en el Seminario diocesano y Ministerios laicales

The Diocese of Osma-Soria officially opened the academic year at the Santo Domingo de Guzmán Diocesan Seminary on September 20. The event included an inaugural lecture by José María Capilla de Blas, a teacher at the minor seminary, who discussed the historical role of the Church in organizing and supporting education in El Burgo de Osma.

During a Mass presided over by diocesan administrator Gabriel Ángel Rodríguez Millán, two seminarians received lay ministries. Romeo Lavenir Yombi Edong was instituted as a lector, and Alejandro Caicedo Quintás was appointed as an acolyte.

In his homily, Rodríguez Millán described the seminary as a place for listening, discernment, and following God's plans. He encouraged the seminarians to pursue their vocations together without rivalry and welcomed a new student to the major seminary. He also urged the new lector and acolyte to serve the Church through the Word of God and the Eucharist.
