India, il pellegrinaggio della reliquia del Santo Cottolengo a Coimbatore

A relic of St. Giuseppe Benedetto Cottolengo arrived at the Coimbatore Cathedral on September 17, 2026, for veneration by the faithful of the diocese. The visit is part of a pilgrimage through Cottolengo institutions in India leading up to the bicentennial of the charismatic inspiration that led the saint to found the Piccola Casa.

The pilgrimage began on September 2, 2026, in the Sowaripalayam neighborhood of Coimbatore, where the Casa Cottolengo is located. The journey has also included a visit to the San Francesco Saverio Parish.

Cottolengo priest Rexon Pinto expressed gratitude for the event, stating that the presence of the relic serves to bless and strengthen those who come to venerate it.
