Indifference to God, fascination with Christ

Father Philip DeVous shared reflections on how modern indifference to God often stems from constant distraction. Writing for the Diocese of Covington, DeVous noted that people frequently avoid rejecting Jesus Christ directly, instead creating an idol of the savior that approves of their personal whims.

DeVous explained that the world provides many distractions that lead to a lack of interest in Jesus Christ and spiritual matters. This process can result in a blindness to the presence of Christ. He suggested that individuals should ask themselves daily questions to avoid this indifference and maintain the priority of Jesus Christ.
