Iniziato il IX Consiglio Plenario dell’Ordine: in ascolto del Vangelo tra sfide e rinnovamento

The IX Plenary Council of the Ordine Francescano Frati Minori Cappuccini began in Rome on October 12, 2026. The meeting, which runs until October 30, brings together 30 delegates representing 9 Conferenze dell’Ordine Cappuccino, the Ministro Generale fra Roberto Genuin, and his Consiglio to discuss mission, fraternal collaboration, and Fraternità San Lorenzo.

During the opening Eucharistic celebration, fra Roberto urged the participants to rediscover spiritual intelligence. He stated that authentic renewal must be based on the mercy of God and salvation in Christ rather than on works or merits. Addressing rapid changes in society, the Ministro Generale said the Order cannot rely on its past and must instead practice solidity and freedom to meet current challenges.
