Institut Vajra Yogini completes 15 years of Nyung Na retreats
Institut Vajra Yogini in France has completed 15 consecutive years of hosting Nyung Na retreats. The center recently finished its fifteenth series of 108 retreats, which ran from November 2025 to June 2026 under the leadership of Ven. Charles.
The sixteenth series of retreats is scheduled to run from November 16, 2026, to June 20, 2027, led by practitioners including Ven. Amy, Ven. Losang, and Brigitte Lucas.
These retreats support a vision by Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche to sponsor practitioners committing to complete 1,000 Nyung Na retreats. To assist with this, the FPMT Practice and Retreat Fund sponsors food and accommodation for participants undertaking the 108 annual retreats. The Nyung Na practice is a two-day intensive involving Mahayana precepts, fasting, and silence every second day, with daily sessions consisting of meditation, prostrations, and mantra recitation.
