Inter-Diocesan Clergy Dialogue 2026

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Priests and deacons from the Archdiocese of Winnipeg and the Archdiocese of St. Boniface met at the St. Boniface Diocesan Centre on October 1, 2026, for the second Inter-Diocesan Clergy Dialogue. The gathering focused on how parish communities can intentionally support and accompany catechumens during their formation.

During the meeting, participants watched a video testimony from a catechumen who shared how a Catholic podcast helped his family transition from Mennonite and evangelical backgrounds to the Catholic faith. Guided by archdiocesan staff, the clergy exchanged ideas on involving entire parish communities in the process of helping catechumens discern God's call and enter Church life.

The Rite of Election is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2027, at the 5:00 PM Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The faithful are invited to attend this event, which marks a new stage in the journey of the catechumens.
