Parents of a 3-year-old boy donate his organs for transplantation

The parents of 3-year-old Miecio decided to donate their son's organs to save the lives of other children. The boy died on October 23 after being struck by an ambulance during a rescue demonstration at a kindergarten in Jedlicze, Podkarpacie.

The prosecutor's office in Krosno is investigating the circumstances of the accident. Authorities detained the ambulance driver and two kindergarten caregivers, though all were released following questioning. No charges have been filed at this stage of the investigation.
