JMJ Seul 2027: «Desafiamos os jovens de Portugal para que se juntem à peregrinação» – Pedro Carvalho

Pedro Carvalho, director of the National Department of Youth Ministry for the Portuguese Episcopal Conference, is inviting Portuguese youth to join the pilgrimage for the 2027 World Youth Day in South Korea. Speaking in Coimbra on September 28, 2026, Carvalho emphasized that the event is a pilgrimage to encounter Christ and young people from around the world rather than a tourist trip.

Carvalho noted that the local organizing committee is focused on hosting a large gathering and ensuring young people are well received. He stated that the upcoming event will challenge participants through encounters with a different culture. The National Department of Youth Ministry is organizing a group under the theme "Let's go together to WYD 2027."
