Jornadas nacionales de Liturgia sobre el servicio de los ministros extraordinarios de la comunión, del 27 al 29 de octubre

The Spanish Episcopal Commission for Liturgy will host the 55th National Liturgy Days in Madrid from October 27 to 29. The event focuses on the liturgical service of extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion and is open to priests, religious, and laypeople.

Bishop J. Leonardo Lemos, president of the commission, will open the sessions on Tuesday afternoon. José Antonio Goñi, the episcopal delegate for liturgy of the Archdiocese of Pamplona, will deliver the inaugural lecture regarding the liturgical service of these ministers. On Wednesday, Félix María Arocena, a professor emeritus of liturgy from Navarra, will present a session on the four gestures of Christ that shape the Eucharistic celebration.

The second day of the program will address the relationship between extraordinary ministers and pastoral care for the sick. José Luis Méndez, director of the Department of Pastoral de la Salud, will participate in discussions. The sessions aim to provide formation and reflection on the mission of these ministers, their role in the Eucharist, and their specific spirituality.
