Cardinal Nemet attends celebration of Archbishop Hranić's silver jubilee

Cardinal Ladislav Nemet joined 17 bishops to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Archbishop Đuro Hranić's episcopal service. The Mass took place on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at the Đakovo Cathedral.

Archbishop Hranić, the metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Đakovo-Osijek, led the celebration. During the homily, Archbishop Dražen Kutleša of Zagreb expressed gratitude for the archbishop's 25 years of service.

The event also marked the 144th anniversary of the consecration of St. Peter's Cathedral in Đakovo, which was consecrated in 1882 by Bishop Josip Juraj Strossmayer.
