Polish police arrest 31-year-old Ukrainian man after stabbing at Catholic convent leaves 1 dead, 4 injured

Polish police arrested a 31-year-old Ukrainian man following a stabbing at the Benedictine Abbey in Jarosław on Thursday, Sept. 24. Regional police reported that the attack occurred around 9:30 a.m. local time and left one person dead and four others wounded.

Initial police findings indicate the man stabbed four men and one woman. All five victims were taken to a hospital, where three of the men sustained serious injuries. Local media outlets reported that one of the injured men died at the hospital and identified the deceased as a Catholic priest.
