Gyulafehérvári Caritas Szervezet launches project for families

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

The Gyulafehérvári Caritas Szervezet began a project called Kéz a kézben: szoros kötődés, biztos alapok to support mothers and children aged 0 to 6. Running from October 1 to November 27, the program serves approximately 180 children and 160 mothers through sessions held at Biztos kezdet houses in Gyergyóremete, Gyergyóalfalusi, Korondi, Székelyszentkirály, and Zetelak.

The project targets families in rural communities where access to early childhood development resources is limited. Children participate in activities involving movement, sensory and cognitive development, memory and logic games, and creative arts. Mothers join these activities to learn ways to spend quality time with their children.

To support parenting, the program hosts workshops designed to help mothers understand age-appropriate needs, respond to child cues, and practice positive parenting techniques.
