Kilmar Abrego Garcia remains a target for U.S. immigration services and the White House following his return to the United States.

According to a report by La Croix, Garcia was illegally deported to his home country of El Salvador in early 2025. He was able to return to the United States after a national scandal occurred. Despite his return, immigration officials and the White House reportedly seek to deport him to a location in Africa.
