La Caritas apre due Centri di ascolto per i giovani

The Caritas of the Diocese of San Miniato will open two listening centers for young people in October as part of a pilot program. Funded by Catholic Church 8x1000 funds, the centers are part of the project titled "Young People in the Field: Being Protagonists of an Educating Community."

The centers aim to welcome and guide young people active within diocesan communities. Don Armando Zappolini, the director of the diocesan Caritas, stated that while youth fragility often leads to extreme suffering and dysfunction, the centers serve as preventive tools to address these issues earlier.

The project involved various groups in 2026, including parish groups, the Youth Pastoral Office, the Parrocchia di San Giovanni Evangelista di Ponsacco, the Comunità Pastorale di Capanne, Marti e Montopoli, the Parrocchia dei Santi Martino e Stefano di San Miniato Basso, the Oratorio ANSPI Valdegola Tutti i Santi, and the Movimento Shalom. Participants engaged in training on educational poverty, service experiences in Albania and Scampia, and personal growth programs conducted alongside the Consultorio Familiare Diocesano Alberto Giani.
