La comunidad educativa diocesana inaugura el curso con una llamada a educar en la verdad y la libertad

Bishop Fernando García met with religion teachers and representatives of the diocesan educational community in Ferrol to mark the start of the new school year. During a meeting at the Youth Delegation premises, the bishop shared reflections from the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas regarding education.

Bishop García read passages from the document where Pope Leo XIV discusses the purpose of schools in the digital age. He emphasized the need for an educational alliance between families, schools, political entities, and the Christian community. The bishop stated that this cooperation is necessary to promote education centered on technological sobriety, attention hygiene, truth, inner freedom, and the meaning of life.

Following the meeting, the group attended Mass at the Concatedral de San Julián. The liturgy included participation from families, teachers, and school staff, with music provided by the choirs of Colegio Tirso de Molina and UPA Ferrol-Centro.
