La consegna del mandato ai catechisti di Roma

Cardinal Baldo Reina will preside over the annual diocesan assembly for catechists on Saturday, September 26, at the Basilica of Saint John Lateran. The event, held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., marks the start of the 2026/2027 pastoral year for the Office for Catechesis of the Vicariate of Rome.

During the assembly, the cardinal vicar will meet with and give annual mandates to educators serving in parishes, pastoral communities, and various Christian initiation programs across the diocese. The Office for Catechesis described the gathering as an ecclesial gesture intended to highlight the responsibility of those helping children, youth, and adults encounter the Gospel.

The assembly also serves as a time for prayer and dialogue. The Office invited all catechists to attend to share in communion with the bishop and the Church of Rome.
