La Croix is participating in an international investigation titled The Deportation Project, which examines mass deportations carried out by the Trump administration. Coordinated by Forbidden Stories, the project was published on Monday, September 21, 2026.

The investigation took six months to complete and involved 72 journalists from 26 media outlets across 15 countries. The findings reveal the scale of a system used by the American administration to deport individuals to third countries.
