Delegación Diocesana de Pastoral Familiar opens course with retreat in Godella

The Diocesan Delegation for Family Pastoral Care began its 2026-2027 course with a reflection day at the San José Seminary in Godella. The meeting included the delegation team reviewing their work network and discussing new ways to support married couples and individuals facing difficult circumstances.

During the gathering, participants held prayer sessions and honored Vicente Prats, a recently deceased member. His wife, M.ª Amparo Martínez, will continue to work actively with the delegation. The event concluded with a Mass led by Melchor Seguí, the vicar for evangelization.

Delegation leaders Carlos Marroquín and Chelo Sanz stated they developed new work ideas that they will share in the coming weeks with parish family pastoral agents, movement representatives, and various services. The delegation also noted the support of parish priests in training family agents within their communities. The first meeting of the course is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026.
