Diocese of Ibiza participates in IX Encuentro on child protection

Priest Eddy Martín González, a member of the Child Protection Office for the Diocese of Ibiza, participated in the IX meeting of the Church's Child Protection Offices. The meeting addressed how artificial intelligence and digital environments create new risks for the abuse of minors.

The program included a session on the ethics of care in the age of artificial intelligence, featuring Amparo Alonso Escobar, CEO of Ethical Artificial Intelligence for Human Development SL. Father Antonio Carrón de la Torre, OAR, a professor at the Universidad Gregoriana de Roma, spoke about how artificial intelligence influences pastoral workers.

Other sessions focused on practical areas of protection work. Roberto Pérez Conejero of the Religiosos Camilos shared experiences from the healthcare field, while Pilar Polo Polo from the Fundació Vicki Bernadet discussed how to support perpetrators.
