Bishop José Antonio Satué presides over Eucharist

Bishop José Antonio Satué presided over the Eucharist to mark the start of the academic year at the diocesan theological centers in Málaga. The Mass was concelebrated by Javier Guerrero, Salvador Gil, José Emilio Cabra, Rafael Vázquez, Juan Manuel Ortiz, Miguel Ángel Criado, Jesús Hurtado, and various priests connected to the diocesan centers.

During his homily, Bishop Satué described theological study as a valuable but difficult commitment to balance alongside other daily responsibilities. He noted that time dedicated to theology arises from believing contemplation and seeing through the eyes of God amidst a noisy world. He also characterized theological formation as a local Church experience involving professors, priests, and laypeople sharing reflection and conversation to better understand the life of the diocese.
