La Merced prepares to celebrate patron saint festivities 2026

The community of La Merced in Salta will celebrate its patron saint festivities in honor of Our Lady of Mercy from September 15 to 24, 2026. The Diocese of Salta announced that the celebrations will take place at the Our Lady of Mercy Parish located at Hipólito Yrigoyen 860.

The novena runs from September 15 to 23, with the community gathering at 19:30 for the Rosary and novena, followed by Holy Mass at 20:00. Religious, cultural, and sporting activities will begin at 21:00 each evening.

The main feast day on Thursday, September 24, includes a Misa del Peregrino at 9:00, a gathering of authorities at Madre Universal plaza at 10:00, and a civic tribute at 10:30. The evening schedule features a solemn procession at 18:30, a central Mass at 20:00, and a Cantata a la Virgen at 21:00.
