Using the biblical encounter between Jesus, Simon, and a weeping woman, Moxó Soto notes that while Simon invited Jesus to his table and conversed with him, he failed to offer hospitality such as water for his feet, a kiss of welcome, or perfume. In contrast, the woman expressed her devotion by washing Jesus' feet with her tears, drying them with her hair, kissing them, and anointing them with perfume.
