La Pastoral de la Salud celebra su 50 aniversario en las Jornadas Nacionales de Delegados

The Spanish Episcopal Conference is organizing the National Days of Health Ministry Delegates in Madrid from September 22 to 24 to mark the 50th anniversary of health ministry in Spain.

Luis Sánchez, the bishop's delegate for the ministry of the sick and elderly in the Archdiocese of Valencia, will participate in the gathering. Sánchez, who manages hospital ministry and palliative care for the Spanish Episcopal Conference, is scheduled to give a presentation on Wednesday afternoon regarding hospital ministry facing a new rebirth.

Sánchez stated that the ministry has become more important because more people require specialized accompaniment during difficult moments in life. He noted that in a society where many have left the faith, people often face fundamental questions about existence and God when encountering death or deep suffering.
