La Pastoral del Trabajo se presenta en Villargordo bajo el lema “Caminando juntos en corresponsabilidad”

The Diocese of Jaén presented its Pastoral of Work to the community of Villargordo during a meeting held at the Parish of the Assumption of Our Lady. The event brought together local residents and members of the parish, which includes Vados, Torrequebradilla, and Sotogordo, under the theme of walking together in co-responsibility.

Parish priest Miguel Conejero opened the gathering with prayer and a reflection on the Gospel, focusing on forgiveness, fraternity, and justice within the community. Bartolomé Mateos, the diocesan delegate for the Pastoral of Work, welcomed the attendees and recognized the historical contributions of retired priests, former delegates, and committed laypeople.

Mateos stated that the ministry must bring the Gospel to the workplace to defend the dignity of workers. He noted that this mission follows the teachings of Pope Saint John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis regarding the sacred value of employment and the need to address issues such as unemployment and social exclusion.
