La Pastoral Penitenciaria celebra la Semana de la Merced con una Eucaristía en el Centro Penitenciario de Logroño

Bishop Santos Montoya will preside over a Mass at the Logroño Penitentiary Centre on September 24, 2026. The celebration takes place in the prison chapel to coincide with the feast of Our Lady of Mercy, the patron saint of prisons.

The event marks the conclusion of the Prison Pastoral Week, which runs from September 17 to September 24. This year's program follows the theme "Lift up your gaze," a slogan promoted by the Prison Pastoral Department of the Spanish Episcopal Conference. The theme focuses on the personal encounter with Jesus Christ and the mission of the Church to accompany people in prison.
