La prensa italiana señala al Nuncio en España como favorito para suceder a Parolin

The Italian newspaper Il Tempo reports that the Apostolic Nuncio to Spain, Piero Pioppo, is a leading candidate to succeed Parolin.

According to Vatican analyst Francesco Capozza, the Pope has reportedly identified a group of three apostolic nuncios, all of whom are Italian, as preferred candidates for the position. Capozza suggests that Pioppo is currently ahead of the other candidates in the selection process.
