Archbishop Ettore Balestrero urged the international community to prioritize human beings during a review conference for the Convention on Cluster Munitions in Vientiane, Laos.

Speaking at the ongoing conference, Balestrero expressed concern regarding the continued use of cluster bombs and the increasing number of civilian victims. He stated that assistance for those affected must include psychological, social, religious, and spiritual support.
