Azione Cattolica diocesana starts new year with “Vino nuovo in otri nuovi”

The diocesan Catholic Action of Termoli-Larino held a meeting on September 12, 2026, to begin the 2026/2027 associative year. The gathering took place at the Istituto Comprensivo “John Dewey” in Portocannone and brought together leaders, educators, and animators from various territorial groups within the diocese.

Bishop Claudio Palumbo opened the event by discussing the theme for the year, “Vino nuovo in otri nuovi.” He described the biblical image as a spirituality in motion that reflects the association's path of formation and ecclesial responsibility. He noted that the passage serves as an invitation to recognize the absolute novelty of God's presence rather than a condemnation of tradition.

Diocesan president Pio Giacinto Cirelli welcomed the participants and thanked local institutions for their cooperation, specifically mentioning Mayor Francesco Gallo, parish priest Don Fernando Manna, and the Catholic Action of Portocannone for hosting the event.
