Leaving Cert – a journey not easily forgotten

Father Vincent Sherlock shared his personal recollections of sitting the Leaving Certificate in June 1981.

Writing for The Irish Catholic, Father Sherlock described feeling very nervous during the examination period. He recalled seeing other students raising their hands to request extra answer sheets while he struggled to finish his own.
