Legnano e Gaggiano, la Chiesa in un rapporto nuovo con il territorio

The Diocese of Milan has reorganized several parishes and pastoral communities in Legnano and Gaggiano to create new administrative structures.

In Legnano, the Santa Teresa del Bambino Gesù parish joined the San Barnaba and San Filippo Neri pastoral community on September 8. Previously managed by the Carmelites, the parish will now function as a rectory while remaining a legally recognized ecclesiastical entity. Monsignor Luca Raimondi, auxiliary bishop and episcopal vicar for Zone IV, said this change provides the local civil community with a single diocesan entity for cooperation and formalizes existing collaborations between local parishes.

In Gaggiano, the Maria Regina della Pace pastoral community ceased to exist on September 8. The parishes of Santi Andrea e Rocco, Santi Eugenio e Maria, and San Vito Martire merged into the Spirito Santo parish, which has adopted a new name. Monsignor Marco Bove, vicar for Zone VI, expressed satisfaction with these changes.
