Leo XIV celebrates Mass in Genazzano

Pope Leo XIV will celebrate Mass at the sanctuary in Genazzano on the afternoon of September 7. The visit occurs on the eve of the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Father Centra, the rector of the basilica, noted the deep connection between the Pope and Our Lady of Good Counsel. Bishop Parmeggiani of Tivoli said the visit encourages people to respond to the gift of a mother who points to Christ as the way to follow.
