Léon XIV appelle les Clarisses capucines à «renouveler» leur vie communautaire

Pope Leo XIV called on the Clarisses capucines to renew their community life during a speech on September 21. Speaking at the assembly of the Federation of Sisters Clarisses capucines of Italy, the Pope encouraged the nuns to look toward the future of contemplative life with hope.

He urged the sisters to deepen their prayer, formation, fraternal communion, and spiritual accompaniment rather than withdrawing inward. These remarks addressed the decline in vocations and the decreasing number of communities.
