Léon XIV rencontre les évêques uruguayens en visite ad limina

Pope Leo XIV met with Uruguayan bishops during their ad limina visit to discuss the current state of the Church in their country. The meeting took place several weeks before the Pope is scheduled to make an apostolic journey to Uruguay.

Cardinal Daniel Sturla and Bishop Milton Tróccoli told Vatican News that the meeting with the Pope was warm. They identified several primary challenges facing the Church in Uruguay, including secularism, family issues, violence, evangelization, and peace.
