Pope Leo XIV publishes encyclical Magnificat humanitas

The encyclical addresses the dangers of artificial intelligence, which the Pope describes as a cognitive apocalypse that drains collective human intelligence and prevents its regeneration. He argues against the rapid development of technology by a Californian oligarchy and rejects the idea that machines can correct human flaws. Instead, the Pope defends a theology of limits, stating that human beings flourish through their fragilities. He emphasizes that the core of the Gospel is the love of God and the resulting absolute respect for every person.
