Pope Leo XIV visited the Sanctuary of Madre del Buon Consiglio in Genazzano on the eve of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. During the visit, the Pope presented a golden rose to the Madonna and unveiled a fresco depicting him in prayer. This artwork follows the tradition of previous popes who visited the Basilica and commemorates his first visit to the site on May 10, 2025.

During Mass, the Pope encouraged the faithful to meditate on the life of Mary and emphasized the importance of prayer during uncertain times. He stated that allowing peace to grow within individuals will eventually lead to peace spreading throughout the world.
