Diocese of Saint-Denis celebrates European Heritage Days at Bondy

The Saint-Pierre Church in Bondy celebrated its 150th anniversary on September 19 during the European Heritage Days. To mark the occasion, the parish introduced a project to install a sculpted tympanum at the entrance of its courtyard, a space that has remained empty since the building was constructed in 1876.

Olivier Vernet, who has worked on the Palace of Fontainebleau and the Palace of Chambord, attended the event to present a model of the work and perform a demonstration of stone carving on the courtyard. The celebration also included several guided tours of the church.
