Letter to Pope Paul VI on ‘Humanae Vitae’

A writer expressed support for Pope Paul VI and his encyclical Humanae Vitae in a letter published by The Catholic Thing.

Writing on behalf of spiritual children and prayer groups, Karen Popp thanked the Pope for the clear and decisive teachings found in the encyclical. Popp offered prayers and daily sufferings to support the Pope in defending eternal truth and addressed the lack of obedience from some Catholics regarding the Church's high teachings.

The letter also noted the Capuchin Order's tradition of devotion to the Holy See. Popp expressed a desire for the order to maintain its religious seriousness, poverty, and observance of its Rule while renewing itself according to the Second Vatican Council.
