Liturgy for anyone carrying the loss of a loved one who died by suicide

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller presided over a Mass of Remembrance at St. Matthew Church on September 10 to honor those lost to suicide. During the liturgy, family members and friends placed roses at a cross in front of the altar to remember their loved ones.

The archbishop told those attending that the gathering served to entrust those who died by suicide to God. He noted that families often carry the burden of feeling their loved ones reached places others could not, and he emphasized that the Lord sees every hidden struggle and silent tear.
