Longmont Catholics Celebrate 800 Years Since the Death of St. Francis of Assisi

Archbishop James Golka joined the St. Francis of Assisi Parish community for its annual Feastival to mark the Franciscan Jubilee. The celebration commemorated 800 years since the death of St. Francis of Assisi.

The event included Mass and festivities, along with a candlelit Transitus procession. Deacon Brandon Justice led the parish community in the Transitus, a traditional Franciscan prayer service.
