Los corredores de hospitalidad de la Iglesia madrileña: «Desarrollamos un plan de actuación individualizado»

The Aula Polavieja at the Pontifical University of Comillas will host a meeting on Wednesday, September 23, to discuss the World Day of Migrants and Refugees. During the event, María Fernández of Cáritas Madrid will present the experience of the hospitality corridors.

These corridors function as a network between dioceses and Church organizations to help migrants move and integrate in Canarias. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals, especially young people experiencing homelessness. Fernández stated that this model could be replicated by public institutions.

The meeting comes ahead of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on September 27. Fernández noted that the recent arrival of migrants in Ceuta, Andalusia, and Canarias is a matter that should involve everyone rather than being the sole responsibility of those specific autonomous communities.
