Los docentes de Religión Católica, enviados a su misión evangelizadora

Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes gave the Missio Canonica to Catholic religion teachers in the Diocese of Cartagena on Saturday. During a Mass at the Murcia Cathedral, the bishop commissioned these teachers to carry out their educational and evangelizing mission in classrooms during the academic year. The rite of sending applied to both new teachers and those renewing their commitment to the service.

The diocese held a ceremony at the Episcopal Palace to recognize educators. Two teachers celebrated 25 years of service, and 26 teachers were recognized as they reached retirement.

The ceremony also honored several schools. The Colegio Santa María del Carmen in Murcia was recognized for more than 100 years of presence. The Colegio San Buenaventura in Murcia and the Colegio Cristo Crucificado in Cieza received recognition for 75 years of educational work, while the Colegio CEU San Pablo in Murcia was honored for 50 years of service.
