Members of the Interreligious Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation in the Arab World and members of Kaiciid attended the papal general audience on September 9. The group attended the gathering in St. Peter's Square to testify that peace is not an impossible ideal.

Ukrainian priests and laypeople from the Catholic Church were also present at the audience. These participants are in Rome to attend a forum held from September 8 to September 10.
