Lourdes Day 5: Bringing Lourdes Home

Pilgrims from the Diocese of Cork and Ross began their journey home from Lourdes on September 24, 2026, following five days of prayer and Mass celebrations at the Grotto.

Bishop Fintan told the group that they should return home changed by their experiences. He suggested that the pilgrimage should lead them to be more attentive to those in need, more patient, and more willing to forgive. He also encouraged pilgrims to be more conscious of lonely or struggling individuals and to be more active in their parishes, schools, and workplaces. According to the bishop, this mission starts in daily life among friends, families, and colleagues.
