L’ultimo saluto al diacono Mario Buttarelli, «segno di Cristo servo tra i malati e nella quotidianità»

The Diocese of Cremona held the funeral for Deacon Mario Buttarelli on Monday morning, September 21, at the upper church of the diocesan seminary. Buttarelli, who served as the dean of permanent deacons for the diocese, died on September 17 at the age of 92.

The funeral service took place in the church that served as the home for his parish community, Sant’Antonio. The Diocese of Cremona described the celebration as a quiet and communal farewell to a man seen as a sign of Christ serving the sick and in daily life.
