Lumen Christi in St. Paul to host mental health panel Oct. 8

Catholic Intelligence1 min read

Lumen Christi in St. Paul will host a mental health professional panel on Oct. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to launch Whole Hearted, a new mental health and spiritual well-being initiative. The event is organized by the Catholic Mental Health and Well-Being Coalition, a group formed by Lumen Christi and 12 other parishes across the Twin Cities.

The panel will feature a Q&A discussion with three experts. Dr. Melissa Lundquist, an associate professor and social work program director at the University of St. Thomas, will discuss how loss and grief affect individuals and families, and how to distinguish when families need professional mental health support rather than community support. Dr. Aimee Prasek, co-host and co-creator of the Joy Lab Podcast, will discuss integrative mental health research. Rev. Hannah Campbell Gustafson, executive director of Mental Health Connect, will also participate in the discussion.
