Lysias, le bien-nommé

The Roman officer Lysias, whose name means liberator, rescued Paul from a violent crowd at the Jerusalem Temple esplanade.

Lysias also wrote an official report that influenced Paul's fate. Following the rescue, Lysias arranged for Paul to be transferred under the protection of soldiers.
