MALAWI: Bishop Chaima urges Daughters of Wisdom to be Practical in their Mission

Bishop Alfred Mateyu Chaima of the Diocese of Zomba urged the Daughters of Wisdom to practice practical missionary service during a Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Girls Secondary School Ground. The Bishop encouraged the sisters to follow the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary by accepting God's will and accompanying others through difficult times.

The celebration honored Sr. Anne Solomon and Sr. Catherine Kaluwa, who made perpetual vows in the congregation. Additionally, Sr. Dorothy Chimwala and Sr. Agnes Mdzinga celebrated their silver jubilees.

During his homily, Bishop Chaima told the congregation to accept life's challenges to do God's will, citing St. Louis de Montfort, who founded the Daughters of Wisdom and the Montfort Fathers. He stated that people must take risks for God to achieve great things. The Bishop also cautioned against attributing success solely to human effort, reminding the faithful that all things happen through God's mercy. He concluded by asking Christians to remain proud of their faith while serving others.
